TESDA will be providing training for OFWs who are returning

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is currently holding a program for OFWs. This program is training for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are returning from the country they’re working in. TESDA is urging OFWs to take the training to improve on the skills they have. This is for them to take the job they have outside the country to be done here. The TESDA will be conducting the training in different fields starting this 5th of April to the 6th.

Since the incident in Kuwait, our country is now focusing on getting back our citizens to work for our country instead. This is one of the main reasons why TESDA is currently having this program; not only that, it’s also better for workers to improve on fields they’ve and haven’t known before.

What are the skills that TESDA would have training on?

Construction courses include the following:

  • Carpentry
  • Construction painting
  • Electrical installation and maintenance
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Masonry
  • Pipe-fitting
  • Plumbing
  • Scaffold Erection

IT-BPM courses include:

  • 2D animation
  • 3D animation
  • Contact Center Services
  • Computer systems servicing
  • Entry course for software developers
  • Finishing course for legal transcriptionist
  • Game programming
  • Medical transcription
  • Visual graphic design

Interested? If you are then you can submit requirements to the nearest TESDA branch from your location. All you have to submit are:

  1. NSO/PSA-certified birth certificate
  2. Valid I.D. (original and photocopy)
  3. One (1) 1 x 1 photo
  4. Resume/CV fort hose looking for a job

Although this is not just mainly for OFWs, if you’re interested in applying as well, just hit the deal. This application is open to all Filipino citizens eighteen (18) years old and above.

If you know someone working overseas and is about to go home, make sure you educate them about this program. The main goal of this is to provide training for people to work here in our country instead of going abroad. Furthermore, it would be better if you serve your country, right?
